The 2016 Rally2Recovery Ride was a huge success. We raised over $55,000 for Learn to Cope! We had over 400 people attend the rally in Worcester and over 80 bikes made the 40-mile ride from Ware to Worcester.
Thanks to all of you who donated and attended. Special thanks to all of our speakers.
Finally, to all of the folks from Channing House and our many volunteers, this day would not have been possible without you!
The ride began at the Walmart parking lot in Ware, MA and ended at WPI’s Gateway Park in Worcester.
Wahlberg is also Executive Director of the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.
Speakers included Matt Ganem, poet and Executive Director of Banyan Treatment Center, Worcester City Manager Ed Augustus; Learn to Cope Founder Joanne Peterson; Louie Diaz, a Lowell House counselor and the subject of the powerful documentary Beyond the Wall with members of the Lowell Police and Fire department who combat opioid addiction in the city of Lowell.
Food was provided by Chartwell’s and desserts by local Food Network star Alina Eisenhauer, executive chef/owner of Sweet in Worcester.
Rally 2 Recovery is a 40-mile motorcycle ride to raise awareness about opioid addiction.
This year’s first annual rally on August 13, 2016, toured through parts of central Massachusetts that have been particularly hit hard by the current opioid abuse epidemic.
Rally 2 Recovery’s mission is to help raise awareness about opioid addiction and help Learn 2 Cope raise money for outreach through its education and support groups.
Rally 2 Recovery needs your help! Making next year’s rally a success requires that we raise funds for logistics; public relations, insurance, and police details.
All money raised for the rally will go directly to this project and to Learn 2 Cope.
All Donations and Registrations are fully tax deductible.
